QTac

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

QTac (Quantity Takeoff) is desktop software from Brainquisitive Merits, India ("we", "us"). It is designed so that your work stays on your computer. This policy explains the little personal data we do collect, why, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What stays on your computer

What we collect

No drawing, project, measurement, quantity or file name is ever sent. QTac contains no advertising, analytics or usage tracking.

Why we use it

Who else sees it

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Registration details are kept in a Google Sheet in our Google account, and the registration code is emailed through Gmail, so Google processes them for us under its own terms. If paid plans start, a payment provider will handle payments. These providers use the data only to provide their service to us. Payment details go to the payment provider, not to us; its privacy policy applies to them. We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details while your account is active, and delete them within 90 days after you ask us to, unless the law requires us to keep them longer (for example, invoices).

Your rights

You may ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or completed, have it erased, withdraw any consent you gave, and nominate someone to act for you. Write to bqi.support@brainquisitive.com; we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

QTac is for professionals and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will post changes to this policy in the app, and email registered users about significant changes.
